00:01 Today we will take a quick look at Classter’s Parent Portal. Let’s start. Upon successful login, you will be taken to the dashboard.
00:13 This is the home screen. On the main page, you have an overview of your children’s detail. You can see different notifications.
00:20 and announcements. And the several quick action menu options for easy access to some modules. For example, if you want to log in fast in the financial.
00:33 Also, you can see the calendar with current and future activities of the children. You can see this calendar per day, per week, or month, however you want.
00:45 Then we are going to the timetable section. The timetable section allows you to view the days and times when your children have classes, sport, activities, or exams.
00:56 It is important to mention that you can choose which child’s timetable you want to view each time. You can select the child from here when you can see the select student.
01:07 Now we selected Francesca for our example. You can also see which teachers they have and in which classrooms their lessons will hold. and I’ll see you next time. Then we have the homework section.
01:23 This section allows you to find what homework and assignments have been assigned to each child for any of their subjects.
01:31 You are able to print the homework if you want. You can choose a student from the drop-down list. Here again we have Francesca.
01:38 By default, pre-selected as you can see up here when you can see the subject. So you will see all the homework from all the subjects she has here.
01:54 For example, here we have an assignment for Home from the English class, Francesca has. Here is the homework she has for tomorrow.
02:11 Then we can go to the academic data. From this section you can get an overview of the of your children academic performance and achievement.
02:26 Again you can select from the drop down field here. Again we have Francesca. You will see the child’s marks, assessments, disciplinary action and comments from the teachers.
02:41 Here we are on the overview tab so you can have an overview of all these but you can see more analytically all these in the other tabs.
02:55 Then we are going to the assessment marks. Here in the assessment marks page you will be able to see the student’s grades detailed term by term for each class the student is enrolled in.
03:10 You can also see graphs displaying the student’s academic performance in comparison with the class. Here you can see everything in detail down here and here are some graphs that may help you see the performance of Francesca for example.
03:29 Then we are going to the term marks. Here in the term marks you will be able to view a report with the card that include grades from all the semesters as you can see here and the exams, a summary of the attendance percentage for each semester and at the end some comments and feedback from the teacher
03:54 . Then we have the descriptive marking. Here you will be able to view the descriptive marks. This assessment provides a detailed subject-by-subject breakdown of a student’s performance.
04:13 It includes evaluations of academic abilities, class participation, and a lot more. It gives a comprehensive overview of a student’s progress, highlighting both academic achievements and personal development.
04:32 As you can see here, we have the English class for Francesca and we can see some descriptive marking here with some answers from the teacher.
04:45 We can see that we have the class performance, we have social and communication skills, we have behavior and personality. So you can have a comprehensive overview of Francesca’s progress in the class.
05:03 Then we are going to the attendance. In the attendance tab, you can see a comprehensive view of your child’s attendance records.
05:16 Again, you can select the child you want to see from up here. Select student. Here we have Francesca. You can also choose the status you want to see.
05:30 If you don’t choose something, you can see all of these together. You can view your child’s presences, delays, absences to their classes.
05:46 Furthermore, you are able to provide the justification for a child’s absence from here. Maybe if she was late like here for uh because you were in a doctor’s appointment for example.
06:06 Then we have the educators tab. In the educators menu you can see the teachers for each child and find information on their specific needs.
06:15 Their specialty, the subjects they have and their availability. Again we can select the child you wish to see their teachers.
06:23 Here we have Francesca’s teacher. You can also view their email addresses and send them direct messages through the Classter portal.
06:31 You can do this from here, where you can see the sent message. You can see from here the available hours of Ellen Borg, for example.
06:45 You can see here her email and what classes she is teaching to Francesca. Then we have the Educator’s Parents Meeting.
07:05 From the Educator’s Parents Meeting button you can schedule a meeting with any of your child’s teachers based on their availability.
07:11 First you have to select the child and then you can choose the teacher you want. Here for example we have Francesca again and the educator we want to talk to, Ellen Bourke for example, and we click the show calendar.
07:27 We can see her availability here. The available times are set. These are shown in the calendar here. By clicking on the desired time you can choose whether you want an online meeting, an in-person meeting or a phone call meeting.
07:47 You can see this right here. You can choose what you want. And you can make your appointment with the teacher.
08:02 Then we are going to the requests. From the request menu, parents can create a request for the school. For example, if one of the children have to leave earlier, they can also see if their requests are approved or completed.
08:18 Like here, the other child, Mark Grigsby, have to leave two hours earlier today. As we can see it’s approved from the school.
08:33 Then we have the transportation. You can select the student’s transportation. We this section is used to manage the commute of students to and from the institution.
08:48 You can view the bus details, uh like bus tickets. Stop shops, departure times, and arrival times. Here we chose Francesca, and you can see all the daily bus program here.
09:02 Then we have the quizzes and surveys. The Quizzes and Surveys menu offers parents the opportunity to give feedback on their experience with the institution, administration, teachers, and other services of the school.
09:21 You can also, here you can see a parent’s survey, for example, you click the answer, survey, and you are going here.
09:31 You can also answer anonymously if you won’t, from here, when you can see the submit quiz anonymously, and you can proceed with the questions.
